ChinaThinking(ChinaNet) Mission
Chinathinking (ChinaNet) is an open network of scholars who research issues related to China and its relationship with the surrounding countries from a Canadian perspective. Studies related to China have been available for centuries, but over the last thirty years, scholars researching issues related to China have increased substantially across multiple disciplines. However, academics and students in Canada have been limited by geographic distance and disciplinary boundaries. Chinathinking (ChinaNet) seeks to remedy this by bringing together scholars, students and associations from different backgrounds and disciplines to share researches, interests and experiences.
Based in the nation's capital, Chinathinking (ChinaNet) has begun to invite individuals from different academic institutions in the Ottawa region, and will expand to be a countrywide platform. We are a centralized source for information with regards to relevant opportunities primarily for networking, but also conferences in Canada and abroad and new publications and events.
Please take the time to browse our website and feel free to engage in discussions about various issues on our forum. You may also find our database helpful for finding Canadian, Chinese, and other international scholars researching China-related topics. Enjoy!
